Why outdoor work needs care
Water and electricity don't mix. Outdoor circuits need RCD protection, fittings rated for rain, and cable that's protected where it's buried or runs along walls. Cable run in the garden is routed and protected so it won't be dug through later.
Paperwork
A new outdoor circuit is notifiable. As a NICEIC Domestic Installer we register it with Building Control for you.
Common questions
Can you add a light to an existing outdoor socket or circuit?
Often, if the circuit has suitable RCD protection. We'll check when we quote.
Do you supply the fittings?
We can, or we can fit ones you've chosen, as long as they're rated for outdoor use.
