Planning your lighting
Good lighting is mostly about where the lights go. We'll help you work out spacing for downlights and where switches make sense, before anything is cut into a ceiling.
Paperwork
Most lighting jobs get a Minor Works Certificate. A new lighting circuit, or work in a bathroom zone, is registered with Building Control for you.
Common questions
Why do my LED bulbs flicker on a dimmer?
Usually because the dimmer wasn't designed for LEDs. Fitting an LED-compatible dimmer normally fixes it.
Do downlights need to be fire-rated?
In some ceilings, such as under a bedroom floor or loft, they do. We'll check and fit the right type.
